Easyswitch take your privacy seriously and have protected your information from any outsiders not authorized to view it. What is collected?

This policy applies to your personal information when you use the Easyswitch website to find a good deal on switching to an accredited green energy product. We may also collect information about your visit to the site. This may not contain any personal information about you.

When you agree to switch to a better electricity plan we collect personal information such as your supply address, contact details and identification documents numbers. We request the minimum we can to ensure your new retailer can process your application.

Security:

Easyswitch have secured pages you enter any personal information in. These pages you enter details into are encrypted to ensure no other parties can view this information. Once your details have been submitted we keep them safe in our own servers with restricted access. This information is only used as you have specified we may in the application. All our systems are password protected and any paper files are kept locked with restricted access.

What we do with your information:

The personally identifiable information you submit will only be used for the purposes you have specified. This will most often be for the switching from an old retailer to a specified retailer of your choice. This information is passed between the relevant parties using secure email attachment technology to ensure the validity of the recipient.

If you have given permission for us to disclose your information to external parties concerned with climate change or energy efficient products we will refer specific marketable information to these parties.

Other information:

We may also collect information about your visit. This may not contain any of your personal information but information on the pages that you visited. This is used to constantly improve our site to ensure the best approach to switch you to a preferred accredited green plan.

General information:

If you would like to know what information we have about you please use our contact us form. Your information is kept for 2 years on our system from date of switch. You can request at any stage your information to be removed from our system.
