AGL currently purchases accredited green electricity to sell to its customers from 3 wind farms and several biomass plants. AGL are negotiating with leading solar, geothermal and ocean technologies to include in their purchases.

ActewAGL

ActewAGL offer 2 types of plan with multiple levels of accredited green power. The fixed plan offers blocks of green electricity per day. You choose the block size depending on your daily usage and that amount is purchased for you irrespective of what you use. If you want to accurately predict the cost of going green this is a good plan, however you may not offset the intended amount of greenhouse gases if you increase your electricity use. The alternate plans available add on to every kWh you consume and come in 10%, 25%, 50%, 100% and 200% accredited green options.

Australian Power and Gas is a newly listed but growing electricity retailer, with over 27,000 customers, and provide a range of simple energy plans with features and benefits designed to suit your needs.

Country Energy

Country Energy’s products are based on the average household electricity consumption over one year. If you use significantly higher or lower amounts of electricity the level of accredited GreenPower will be different from the marketed amount.

Energy Australia offers the PureEnergy10, PureEnergy50 and PureEnergy Premium(100%) plans. Energy is sourced from wind solar, hydro and biomass. Energy Australia has significant investments in solar, wind and biomass.

  • Solar: Foreshore Park, Homebush Business Park (John Cox Centre), Singleton (Stage 1 & 2), and Sydney Superdome Solar Farms *
  • Wind: Kooragang, and Woolnorth Bluff Point (Stage 1) wind farms *
Integral Energy

Integral Energy has been servicing Sydney’s west as the incumbent retailer and network distributor.

  • Solar: AV Jennings solar system *
